Short version

Path to Home MN is a free guidance tool for first-time and first-generation Minnesota homebuyers. The calculator runs entirely in your browser — your income, credit-score range, savings, debts, and student-loan balance are not transmitted to our servers unless you choose to sign in and save your profile.

What we collect

Browser-only by default. Inputs on the homepage and the Money page (income, FICO band, county, monthly debts, housing cost) stay on your device and are used only to compute your results on screen.
If you sign in. Your email address and the profile fields you choose to save (county, FICO band, annual income, savings, debts, student-loan balance, household size, eligibility flags) are stored in our backend so you can come back to your results. You can delete your account at any time — contact us below.
Email alerts. If you opt in to "email me when these programs change status," we store your email and the program IDs you're subscribed to.

Assistant AI

The chat assistant routes your questions through the Lovable AI Gateway to a third-party large-language-model provider. Don't paste sensitive personal information (SSN, full account numbers, etc.) into the chat. We don't store chat transcripts long-term, but the LLM provider may retain prompts per their own policies.

What we do not do

We don't sell your data.
We don't share your financial inputs with lenders, agents, or advertisers.
We don't run third-party advertising or behavioural tracking on your financial inputs.
We're not a lender, broker, or licensed financial advisor — results are estimates only.
